Experience La Parguera Natural Bioluminescent Bay
Experience one of the world’s most extraordinary natural wonders during your visit to Puerto Rico aboard our stable 26 ft catamaran power boat. Cruise to La Parguera’s famous Natural Bioluminescent Bay with a USCG Licensed Captain while enjoying a safe, comfortable, and small-group experience.
Experience the magic of La Parguera Bioluminescent Bay, one of the most unique natural attractions in Puerto Rico.
This guided nighttime boat tour takes you across calm protected waters to witness the natural bioluminescence created by microscopic organisms that illuminate the water when disturbed. Enjoy a comfortable and relaxing experience under the stars while learning about this fragile ecosystem from knowledgeable local guides.
Your adventure takes place aboard a stable 26-foot motorized catamaran operated by a USCG-certified captain and authorized by the Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DRNA). Small groups allow for a more personalized experience while minimizing impact on the protected environment. The brightness of the bioluminescence varies naturally depending on environmental conditions such as moon phase, weather, water movement, and seasonal factors. Darker nights generally provide better viewing conditions.
Swimming is not permitted in the Bioluminescent Bay under DRNA Administrative Order 2023-02, established to protect this unique ecosystem and preserve the bioluminescent organisms for future generations.
